I know there are a few of us that will be doing St. Anthony's Triathlon on April 25, 2010. I know some that are doing it with Team In Training, and some that are training on their own. Either way, it is always good to have someone to train with.

Mark your calendars! Next year's Tour de Cure is scheduled to take place on June 5, 2010.

The Southeast Michigan Tour de Cure begins at Brighton High School and offers great riding options for everyone:
o A family friendly 5-10 mile route through nearby neighborhoods

Detroit Iron will have our first ever recruitment meeting on Wednesday October 28.

Will take place at Woody's diner in Royal Oak from 7 til whenever.

This will be an opportunity for interested parties to see what Detroit Iron is all about. We will share our club philosophy, our mission, member responsibilities, etc. Basically get everyone up to speed. We will also accept memberships for the first time!

This will be a great group to train ...

RunningFit is hosting a triathlon on Island lake, which quite a few people I know are doing. It looks like a good sprint triathlon with a .5 mile swim, a 12.4 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run.

The interesting part about this triathlon is that it's hosted on Wednesday August 19th at 6:30PM. Island lake is a great place for a tri. Check out details at T-Rex Triathlon - Island Lake.

Brian mentioned the team entering and racing in a spring in Novi next weekend. I have done the race three times and highly recommend it. It's very fast, well organized and fun! It would be nice to have DI represented there. Sign up!
