Congratulations to DFP Marathoners!

Postby Eric » Mon Oct 19, 2009 12:08 pm

Congratulations to all the marathoners yesterday! It was very cold and I'm sure that it was hard to get going. To all the Detroit Iron members that race yesterday, you guys rocked it out and made our team proud yesterday!

On another and somber note, it is incredibly sad to here the news of the three men who passed away yesterday during the race. I personally view our endurance sports as a celebration of life and the human spirit. My thoughts and prayers extend to the families and friends of those we loss yesterday. Very sad...so as we train towards the last races of the year and for the upcoming 2010 season, please remember that we are lucky to have our health and that every yards we cover in the pool, every stroke we take on the bike, and every step we take, should not be taken for granted.

Yes, congrats to everyone! It was a great day for a marathon.

I saw Bora finishing in an amazing 3:04! I'll just go out on a limb and say that he's going to be the first Detroit Iron member that goes sub 3 in the marathon.

Yes, Bora, that is f-ing fast!

Jared, to clarify, Greg Miller has gone under 3 hours in a marathon (2:46!).

Are you kidding me? Greg Miller ran a 2:46? That's just ridiculous and I think that just shouldn't count. Wow. Just wow!
