What is your name?
I live in Berkley & work in Troy. Anyone in the Big Beaver/Livernois area up for lunch time runs or swims at the Troy rec center?

What brings you to Detroit Triathlon?
Doing my first full IM this year (2010) at Madison. I'm looking for some group open water swims and maybe some group bike rides.

How long have you been doing triathlons or are you just starting?
I've been running for years & doing tris for 'fun' & to mix up the summer racing schedule for awhile. Nothing serious till now though.

What was your last race and what's your A race for this year?
My last race was the Detroit marathon in 2009. It was supposed to be the Martian marathon yesterday but a nasty stretch of bronchitis put a dent into training over the past 8 weeks. My A race is Madison this year. Between now and then I'm planning on Dexter/AA, Motor City tri, Great Lakes Relay & the Crim. Maybe some shorter road races mixed in too.

What's your best/favorite triathlon leg?
My best is the run, but my favorite is the swim.

What's your worst triathlon leg?
The bike is where I need the most work.

Where do you do most of your trainings?
Swim - YMCA (RO/Bham/D) + Troy rec center
Run - weekdays/lunch: Troy, weekends/long: start in Berkley
Bike - I try to start most in Berkley to cut down on the time training takes, Berkley->Belle Isle was a favorite last year. This year I'm thinking about Berkley->Hines and Berkley->Stony Creek

Hey Don, Welcome to the group. There's a bunch of us that ride out at Kensington on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Also, you might want to talk to Jason Lyngaas (He's on here somewhere). He works around you and would probably be up for some lunch runs.

Hey Don,

I'm in Clawson and work from home (or outside Michigan). When I'm home, I frequently have time to run at lunch. Some open water swimming would be good too (I do my pool swimming at Lifetime).

I recently started doing the 11 mile (usable) loop on the Macomb Orchard Trail - good for the tri bike. If you want to ride, let me know. neuggs@gmail.com

Welcome - hope to see you around.

Frank.
