Infinit Nutrition

Postby jared » Mon Jul 06, 2009 11:17 am

I haven't actually made the plunge and ordered Infinit yet. Any suggestions on the formula for long-distance (i.e. ironman)? I've tried out a couple of different formulas from people on long rides so I know it will work for me. Just looking for some direction. I'm thinking a little protein, amino acids, moderate amount of sodium, and light flavor. maybe a higher amount of calories so I can use it as a concentrate mix and still drink water. Either way I go, I'm still going to drink water.

Let me know what you think.

Re: Infinit Nutrition

I just started using Infinit a few months ago. This is my first year of triathlon, so I wasn't exactly sure what formula I needed. Although, I knew I didn't want to go with their pre-set formula. I ended up taking the survey they have on their website. The survey enables you to customize a formula that is appropriate for your particular training and race needs. The survey asks questions about your training habits and race goals. It also takes into consideration whether you plan to exclusively rely on infinit for nutrition, or if you plan to supplement with sodium tablets, gels, etc. The survey is quick and easy.

At the end of the survey, you’re presented with their recommended formula based on how you answered the questions. It seemed to work for me. You are given the opportunity to change the formula by adding certain main “ingredients.” For mine, I decreased the amount of protein, as I've been hearing that protein can cause more harm than good during race efforts. I also raised the electrolytes just a tad. Not really sure why, but it sounded good at the time. :D It was real quick and easy to take the survey and make the adjustments. I've used the formula in training for several months and so far it has worked great.

Another nice thing about Infinit, is that you can save your customized formula on their website. So, if you find that what you ordered didn't work just right, you can go back and tweak your formula and try again. Infinit also has great customer service. If you have any questions, just give them a call and they can help you customize the right formula for you and your goals.

They also have reliable and quick delivery, which is a definite plus!

Give it a try Jared. I think you'll like it!
